On Friday, May 14, 1999, I left my home at 6:30 a.m. to Sidewalk Counsel at the Abortion Clinic on South Perry Street. Micah would routinly pass the clinic on his way to work every day. Most mornings he just honks and waves, but on this morning he stopped to visit. He told me all about his date the night before. He told me how much he loved his girlfriend, Mary Margaret, and how much she meant to him. He also told me about the movie that they had gone to see that night. It was Patch Adams. I told him that the previews made it look like a stupid movie to me and I had no interest in seeing it. He encouraged me that I must see the movie. He also told me he had a date with his girlfriend on Saturday night. This was my last visit this side of eternity with my son.
